FINALLY!

Brian and I went to see three houses today, and guess what....We TOTALLY found one we are both pretty crazy about. Well, he likes it and says it's the best we've seen, I am in love with it :)

I say "finally" because in every home we have seen, nothing has jumped at as, or sparked me as something I'd be willing to commit to - so here it is, a beautiful home only a few miles from my folks, near a beautiful state park and lake that I've grown up around, yet it's location shaves about 10 minutes off of our current commute to work. It's in a nice area, taxes are cheaper than in our current township, and even though the house is out of our price range (right now) they want the house to move on the market.

This is good for us, because we can only make it if we get it for the right price.

So, we both may love it, but need to be prepared to walk away if it's too steep. We have a price in our heads, so we'll see. We also prayed about it before we went into the house.

Funny thing is that I didn't even look at this house before because technically, it's out of our price range, and I was only looking for homes IN our range. My parents were driving back from the farm yesterday and told us we needed to tell our agent we want to see this house. So today I told my agent (reluctantly) after she asked about other houses that my mother told me about this house, blah blah blah, it's out of our price range but blah blah blah, it can't hurt to see it and crunch some numbers if we really like it, yadda yadda yadda and she says "Do you WANT to see it today? I'll call and see if I can make it happen!" (we'd been out in a different county looking at homes 1 hour away and she asks us this). So turns out we were able to set up a time and voila! Next thing I know we are looking at a home which ended up being one I totally loved. Anyway, we prayed about it before going in. Mostly prayed that God would show us what we needed to see and that He'd take care of us in our decisions. We're not betting on this house, but we ARE trusting that if it's for us, it will not be a headache but everything will go smoother than butter. The house is a short sale, but it's a lovely short sale (we've seen bad short sales). So, you know for a short sale to move smooth as butter for the price we can afford, it'd be a God thing. We're going for it, but we won't push more than we have to. It's a house, after all - and an obligation.

So, there it is. Will probably write more when we know more. All I know is that I floated around this house like a fairy. I can see a family here. I can see MY family here. Let's hope everybody else sees us here as well!
